Lundhags 5th in NLOCH2006

The results aren’t up on nloch2006.com yet, probably because of heavy partying in the race crew last night… but we know that Lundhags were 6th in the last stage and 5th in final.

We’ll update when the results appear on nloch2006.com.

EDIT: Got antoher text message from Björn: “A decent race. Apart from fuss with cactus thorns, five flat tires and Martinas broken bike we did what we were able to do. The weather was very hot and dry during daytime with a burning hot sun. We didn’t have the speed needed, especially during technically hard MTB, to win, without the top teams making misstakes. The track was really beautiful; there was a steep canyon where we were fast. The major part of the race was MTB, with a challenging night section. Good arrangement with a stable organisation. We’ll keep on training to be faster in the future!”

Thanks for following the team during the race, we hope that you’ll keep an eye on Lundhags during next season also.

Resultaten har inte dykt upp på nloch2006.com än, troligtvis beroende på att “banketterna” brukar gå rätt till i Mexico… Vi vet dock att Lundhags var sexa på den sista etappen och femma totalt i tävlingen.

EDIT: Fick ännu ett sms från Björn: “Hyggligt lopp. Bortsettmed strul med kaktustaggar, fem punkteringar och Martinas trasiga cykel gjorde vi vad vi kunde. Dagtid var det väldigt varmt och tort med stekande sol. Fattades lite fart, speciellt på teknisk cykling för att kunna vinna utan att täten strular. Banan var riktigt vacker; nedför en brant kanjon var vi snabba. Största delen av tävlingen var cykel, med en tuf nattsträcka. Bra arrangemang med en stabil organisation. Vi tränar vidare för att bli snabbare framöver!”

Vi tackar för att ni har följt Lundhags denna gång och hoppas att fortsätter att göra det under nästa säsong.

Buff/Coolmax wins NLOCH2006

Buff/Coolmax is the overall winner of the NLOCH2006, with Team Finland in 2nd place and SupplierPipeline in 3rd place. This according to esmas.com. Congratulations to you all.

Nike PB and Team Finland crossed the finish line as winners of the 3rd and final stage of the race at 12.58 local time, with danish Team Fjällräven Powerbar in 3rd place 2 min later. MTB and kayak were the disciplines in this last stage.

We haven’t got any info if Lundhags withheld their 5th place at the moments, but results will follow. We have though located three well-known behinds.

Buff/Coolmax blir totalsegare i NLOCH2006, med Team Finland på andra plats och SupplierPipeline på tredje plats. Detta enligt esmas.com. Grattis till er alla.

Nike PB och Team Finland passerade mållinjen tillsammans som segrare på den sista etappen kl. 12.58 lokal tid, med danska Team Fjällräven Powerbar på tredje plats endast två minuter senare. Under denna sista etapp har lagen ägnat sig åt MTB och kajak.

För tillfället vet vi inte om Lundhags stannade på femte plats i tävlingen, men resultaten kommer att dyka upp så småningom. Vi har dock lokaliserat några välkända bakdelar.

Waiting for the teams to finish

The teams went out on the final stage of the race at 8.30 am local time, 2.30 pm GMT, a stage that was ecpected to take about 6 hours.

The top three teams were gathered within 30 min after the first two stages so we’re expecting a close finish for the podium places. Booth Noke PB and Lundhags are in a bit of a vacuum, but anything can happen in adventure racing…

Lagen gick ut på den avslutande etappen kl. 08.30 lokal tid, 15.30 svensk tid - en etapp som beräknades ta ca 6 timmar.

De tre bästa lagen efter två etapper låg inom 30 minuter, så vi förväntar oss en hård kamp dem emellan. Nike PB och Lundhags låg båda lite för sig själva, men som bekant kan det mesta hända i multisport…

Lundhags 5th on the 2nd stage..for real this time..

According to esmas.com Buff and Team Finland tied the 2nd stage of the race, finishing at 2.17 am local time. SupplierPipeline 3rd (or 2nd, depends on how you count..) at 2.39 am, Nike PB 4th at 4.27 am and Lundhags 5th at 4.52 am. The stage took about 17 hours for Buff and Team Finland, making them quite a deal ahead of schedule.

This stage featured MTB, trekking, canoeing, rappel and tyrolean traversing . It seems like it has been low visibility and low temperatures during the stage.

The third and final stage will start at 8.30 am local time (2.30 pm GMT) on dec 2nd. It’s scheduled to take about 6 hours to finish.

EDIT: The accumulated results are up on nloch2006.com. Lundhags is 5th, about 3h 37 min behind Buff and about 66 minutes behind Nike PB in 4th place.

Enligt esmas.com delade Buff och Team Finland segern på den andra dagsetappen och gick imål kl. 02.17 lokal tid. SupplierPipeline var trea (eller tvåa, beroende på hur ni räknar) och gick imål kl. 02.39, Nike PB 4:a imål kl. 04.27 och Lundhags femma kl. 04.52. Etappen tog ca 17 timmar för Buff coh Team Finland, jämfört med de beräknade 24 timmarna.

Den här etappen innehöll MTB, trekking, kanot, reppeling och flying-fox. Det verkar som det har varit dålig sikt och rätt kallt under etappen.

Den tredje och sista etappen kommer att börja kl. 08.30 lokal tid (kl. 15.30 svensk tid) imorgon lördag. Etappen beräknas ta ca 6 timmar.

EDIT: De ackumulerade resultaten finns uppe på nloch2006.com. Lundhags är femma, 3 timmar och 37 minuter efter ledande Buff och ungefär 66 minuter efter Nike PB på en fjärde plats.

Results from the first stage

The results from the first stage is up on nloch2006.com under “Teams”. It seems that Lundhags were 7th on the first stage 78 minutes behind Buff. The top seven teams were as follows Buff, Team Finland, Supplierpipeline, Nike PB, Merrell/Cumbres Regias from the UK, Las Fresas from Mexico and Lundhags.

EDIT: Some notes about the results: The top four teams are gathered within 16 minutes and the teams from place 5 to 8 are gathered within 9 minutes. It means that the teams on the podium places may easily shift and Lundhags has a good chance of passing teams during the remaining stages. One other thing to remark is that the first stage only took 8 hrs for Buff, in comparison to the expected 12 hrs. We’ll se if the teams continues to stay ahead of the schedule after the 2nd stage.

The teams will finish the 2nd stage sometime during the morning local time, around 3-4 pm GMT today.

Resultaten från första dagsetappen har dykt upp på nloch2006.com under “Teams”. Resultaten isar att Lundhags var sjunde lag på etappen, 78 minuter efter Buff. De topp sju lagen var som följer, Buff, Team Finland, Supplierpipeline, Nike PB, britterna i  Merrell/Cumbres Regias, Las Fresas från Mexico och Lundhags.

EDIT: Några noteringar om resultaten. De fyra främsta lagen efter den första dagsetappen är samlade inom 16 minuter och lagen på placering 5 - 8 är samlade inom nio minter. Det betyder att det finns utrymme för stora skiftningar i resultatlistan och att Lundhags ha stora möjligheter till att avancera. En annan sak att notera är att den första etappen endast tog åtta timmar för Buff, till skillnad från de förväntade tolv timmarna. Vi får se om lagen fortfarande ligger före schemat efter den andra dagsetappen.

Lagen kommer att avsluta den andra dagsetappen någon gång under morgonen lokal tid, kl 16-17 svensk tid.
