After almost 24 hours of racing, team Haglöfs Silva Is in the lead of Raid Gallaecia, Spain, the third round of the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS).
The race started yesterday morning with a short orienteering section around the old town Cuntis, followed by a challenging mountainbike and an ocean kayak. Reports talks about accurate, though very detailed, maps and well hidden checkpoints. So far our team seems to be handling this well! Right now, 23 hours into the race, top teams are out on the 2nd bike section and our team Haglöfs Silva, who have been leading the race more or less all the way from the start, is still first! Close behind (2 minutes) at the last checkpoint was team Seagate with two local Spanish teams (HG and Adventure addicts) in third and fourth.
The homepage with the GPS tracking, https://tracktherace.com/raid-gallaecia-2015/live/race, is very detailed and precise, maybe the best we have ever seen! All race maps are updated and the race can be followed in details!
Fingers crossed that Haglöfs Silva manage to continue with high speed and accurate navigation for two more days (and nights)!
Heja på Haglöfs Silva – visa var skåpet ska stå!
Good luck and nice to see the GPS tracking and follow your race that way.
